Grandmas restaurant
Let's face it, as a kid when you go to your grandparent's house, sometimes they spoil you by feeding you tons of cakes, cookies, pies, and sweet snacks. And they always seem to have the time to bake all those things. They would even have the best video games, videos, and all the latest entertainment to keep you happy. It's just their way of expressing their love for you. Well how about a restaurant that does just that. It would be called "Grandma's" or Grandma's house" This would be a large place to eat and have fun, where Grandma would be everyone's grandma, and she would express her love to everyone by offering the best home cooked meals at great values. Even those feshly baked cookies cakes and pies and special desserts will be sure to fill your heart with love. Grandma's restaurant will make everyone feel special and supply everyone with entertainment with cartoons for the kids, and movies for the adults. There would even be a large video arcade of arcade games that will entertain the young and old. And just like grandmothers, the portion size would be huge giving you a happy feeling inside. Guaranteed that everyone will feel loved and leave happy, as everyone will want to go to Grandma's to have a great time.

Cartoon Cafe
I had read about this once that Cartoon Network had plans to make this themed restaruant, and then decided to trash it. But I thought that this would've been a fun thing. Mostly it would be Cartoon Network and Boomerang. This toony themed restaurant, would have framed cartoon character cels hanging on th walls, a giant screen tv playing Cartoon Network and Boomerang cartoons all day. All the items on the menu would be cartoon named and even as fun thing, your favorite cartoon network stars, in costume form would come and greet you. It would be a very festive place, as there would also be tons of cartoon memorbilia decorating the restaurant as well. For fun they would have a giant video arcade, and a souvenier shop. Talk about getting into the toons, this would've been an interesting place if Cartoon Network decided to continue production.

Diners
Let's face it, there's nothing like enjoying a meal at the diner. Well, they don't really have a specfic theme, but each diner is unique within it's interrior decorating, food, and festive atmosphoere. I remember the Seaport diner in Port Jefferson, having a beautiful assortment of glowing neon lights, even if the restraunt choses to dim their lights, it looks very dreamlike, and futruistic. I had eaten at a diner with my mom for breakfast, and let me tell you that diners sure know how to do breakfast right. They make such huge sized pancakes that are very light and fluffy, and give generous sized sides of sausage, bacon or ham. It all tastes soo good, and fills you up maybe beyond lunch. I remember passing by a huge display window of shelves of the diner's most delectable desserts. The serving sizes were huge, from slices of fancy iced and decorated cakes, pastries, chocolate hardend shelled moose in a graham cracker pie shell, giant slices of pie. Now that's dessert. I love eating at diners.

A Hawaii themed restaurant
This is a one idea for a themed restaurant that could be done. The whole atmosphere would be Hawaii, a place to let all your cares and worries just vanish. The place would be decorated with large palm trees with coconuts. A Stage where hula dancers can perform with live Hawaiian music played during the show. There would even be lit torches, sand on the stage to resemble a beach with a grass hut. For a fun thing, they would have a giant waterfall, and a volcano that errupts lava, but it would only be a simulation.
Various Tikki statues would be seen in the restaurant, and they would sing along with some of the Hawaiian tunes being sung. I guess you can say that there would be two different eating rooms. One room with the stage, torches, etc for Luau parties only, and the other for main regular eating. Of course a cool breeze would be felt and maybe a luxurious and colorful sunset would be in the background of the luau stage during the performance leading to a moonlit night.
For the main eating area, you would probably see the big Kahuna sitting in his chair greeting everyone in the restaurant with a large sized Aloha, and maybe saying things to bring about happyness and joy to the customers. As for the cookouts, it would be Hawaiian style on a large fire pit for everyone in the Luau to enjoy as the show went on. Other than that, it would be luxurious Hawaiian food for all the other people. I guess there would be a bar, that would resemble a giant grass hut with sitting seats resembling little mountains or fun Tiki Statues. And of course there would be a souvenier shop selling Hawaiin merchandise. A great way to enjoy paradise, and maybe see the big Kahuna as well.

The Once Upon A Restaurant
This is one funny themed restaurant, and is only seen in the Arthur episode "D.W. the picky eater." What a funny place to eat and a possibility.
The whole restaurant is soo huge that you need to take a boat to get to your table. The whole theme is fairy tales, as the waitress might be dressed as a princess, a dragon breathes fire to light a child's birthday cake, etc.
Each of the eating areas are decorated and themed from a fairy tale. The Read family went there to celebrate Grandma Thora's birthday, and they sat in the Aladdin section. Although D.W. is very young and picky on what kind of food she likes, she managed to try her dinner "Little Bo Beep Pot Pie." She managed to eat it and she liked it. Although the waiter dressed as Aladdin remembered D.W. from the last incident of tossing her salad and complaining that it had spinach, and she hated spinach. As a result it creating a huge mess in a previous fancy restaurant she ate at, thusly why the waiter quit his job and that restaurant.
I have to say that this sounds like a fun place to eat at.

The T-Rex Cafe
The same company known as Landry's that had made the Rainforest Cafe had also made the T-rex Cafe. Now, I've never eaten there, but saw the website and it looked really cool. This time the restaurant is a prehistoric themed restaurant with animatronic dinosaurs, wolly mamoths, mastadons, etc. So everthing is dino themed. I had then seen on You tube the grand opening of this themed restaurant in Disney World. When we went to Disney in 2007, they were still working on it, so it wasn't open yet, and I didn't notice it within the Animal Kingdom. Anyway, as a dinolover I was blown away at this place. It was wild, fun, and colorful. Everything looked really cool, and I almost died of jealosy. My jaw had dropped as I saw the restaurant's cool features, as they have a cool fossil diging exhibit for the kids, tons of lifesized dinosaurs on display, and lots of roaring, growling, and screeching from all the prehistoric creatures that were there. Even the menu had dinosaur named items for their meals.
I felt like I missed out, although the place wasn't ready for business yet, but we don't go to DisneyWorld all that often. Most other people go more often, as they probably live within 1-2 hours away from there. But if you need to take a plane, make hotel reservations, buy tickets to the park, etc. Then it's more like a vacation, then just a fun day and the expenses would easily go through the roof. I would love to go there for lunch or any meal, just so long as I don't become lunch for one of the dinos there.

The Rainforest Cafe
This is one of my all time favorite themed restaurants. It's themed as a tropical rainforest, making it a wild place to shop and eat. I remember eating at one and had many, many pleasant experiences. I could have tons of worries and concerns, and upon entering that restaurant, my problems just leave me. I remember the colorful parrots that were on display in front of the place, as a trainer would come out to introduce you to her parrot friends and tell you some very important facts of the rainforest. Although some of them were able to talk, the trainer sometimes couldn't get them to talk. However I think that I had made a parrot friend from the place, as I sometimes talked to him or her whenever I come and visit. Then one day, I was in the souvenier shop, and the same parrot that I had been talking to had seen me and recognized me and squawked to get my attention. I turn around and see the parrot that got my attention, and it was the same parrot that I had been talking to, and suddenly he or she looked directly at me and said clear as a bell "Hi, how ya doin." I guess I now have a birdy buddy. Anyway, the restaurant part was amazing, as they had provided a simulated rainfall that made a misty effect.
The restaurant itself was very colorfully decorated with tons of green vines and leaves, trees and had many hidden surprises as their animatronic jungle friends made their presense known. My favorite was the elelphant family scene. I had often gotten my table by that scene and got excited whenever the elephants became active trumpeting and moving.
Overhead they had a lighted simulation of a starry night. With the lights, the whole atmosphere of the place was paradise. But suddenly, a simulated rainstorm occurs as flashes of lighting are seen in the sky and in the trees and the lights dim down to indicate a rainstorm. No it really didn't rain, but the effects were exciting. My favorite meal was the Bonzai Barbecue Beef, which was striped barbecue beef placed into a sandwich wrap. It came with waffle fries and a small salad. I usually got fruit punch or lemonade with my meal. It was really good, and for dessert, I would get some type of chocolate brownie ala mode.
Within the back of the restaurant there was a waterfall or river pond with a huge statue inside it, with a colorful rainbow seen on the wall. I sometimes placed a coin inside the pond to make a wish. There were tons of surprises around every corner. A giant mushroom had revealed a bar, where the seats were animal designed. And for the relaxing mood, they have giant fish tanks with colorful coral and large fish swimming around. It was wonderful. And even there was a talking animatronic tree named Tracy, who told important facts of the rainforest. Overall it was a wonderful place. Here is a few photos I've taken of the Rainforest Cafe. My first time I've eaten at this tropical paradise eatery, was at the Source Mall in Roosevelt Field back in 1997, and sadly it closed it's doors the early 2000's, as this was one of the more expensive restaurants to run. Too bad, I'm really going to miss my parrot friends.
